-+the current situation+-
.:everything is bigger:.
my time in cincinnati came to a close in october of ‘06 when i ended up moving down to austin, tx. why austin? well, austin is probably one of the coolest cities i have ever been to. the cultural vibe, the atmosphere, the warm weather, the art community, the music scene…everything seems to be done the way i would think it should be done here. there are laws here that prohibit cutting down trees of a certain age/circumference, for god’s sake! it’s very liberal and very supportive of the small businessperson and extremely open to change and ideas.
while it was hard to leave a place where you have lived for 19 years (and in christy’s case, her entire life), we both needed a change.
so here i/we am/are…in austin, tx. i work for a company called nFusion, which is an integrated marketing agency. i am an ‘interactive product specilist’…which is just another name for a project manager. and, of course, i’d like to be a rockstar someday too. but we’ll see how that pans out.
it’s kind of interesting not knowing exactly what the future will bring. in cincinnati, there was always a sense of predictability, of knowing that there wasn’t going to be much change year to year. here, it’s cool to be a new person, to meet new people and be a part of a community and city that people really genuinely take a lot of pride in. i’m not sure what will happen, but so far, it has been a good ride (minus the staph infection i got in my eye in december…but we’ll talk about that later…).
so that concludes our ‘brief history of andrew’ session. now i can concentrate on posting random nonsense.

Andrew,
I finally gained access to my old Northern Kentucky University e-mail account and found your message. Sounds like you are doing well. I have been through a lot of different jobs and trying to figure out exactly how to pay for grad school/law school, testing fees, and other obstacles thrown in my direction.
The blog is quite interesting and full of quality information. Keep me posted on anything.
